I'm at what feels like the painful heart of this novel....

This is working well as a book of days. I’m reading one song per day, and discovering songs I didn’t know - as well as learning more about John Darnielle’s creative process.

I'm intending to read this book of days one entry each day in 2026. We'll see if that lasts.
