Hard to follow right now. And why is Mongrel and Jachad on the cover when they've barely had any page time currently? There are SO MANY characters that this bounces between. I really liked the fact that Mongrel wasn't your typical perfect female lead, but she isn't even a lead at all. I feel duped right now.

Page 75, and so far I care 0% foe Valeriya and Elyse. Honestly, can't stand either of their POVs. Marietta is the only story I care to read about. This is going to be a veeeeeery long read. Not looking forward to it.

Ugh, Nynnia is so damn stupid and annoying. I hope she dies. 🙄 Rolling my eyes every time I see her name.

Ugh, I see this book is full of multiple POVs. 2 is ok, 3 is max. How many does this one have? I hate having so many, it's so hard to like any of the characters when it's constantly jumping between them, doesn't give you much time to get attached to any one. *sigh* I'll hold out hope though, because I love Jay Kristoff.

It's gotten easier to keep track of the characters, but I'm still not invested in any of them yet. But I have to say I'm warming up to Magnus. Don't care about ANY of the rest of them though. It's hard to get into a character when the viewpoints change every chapter.

Ugh, I have to keep flipping to the front where the character glossary is. There's so many people to keep track of, if I have to keep doing this throughout the whole read, I will be VERY put out.

I’m so disappointed right now. I was so excited for this book, but it’s so lacking. I was excited to see Nina again, but her chapters are boring. I can’t stand Zoya and I’m disappointed she has such a large part. And Nikolai is just getting annoying at this point. 🙄🙄 Can’t wait to finish this and just be done with it. So disappointed.

Ordered 25 more books. 🤣 I need more bookshelves. 🤫
