I recently was referred to Codependents Anonymous meetings and this is the book that many meetings refer as a intro and guidance for all. So far this book has explained some patterns of people who are codependent and discussing the 12 steps and traditions for recovery. I am reading this book sporadically, but hope to learn how to take care of myself.

I picked this book up from a middle school's faculty lounge, they had a bookcase with the intent to "take a book, leave a book." At first, I thought it was a chronological narrative since it is nonfiction, but it's more of short stories that detail the experiences of Chinese women and the dichotomy between mythical ancient traditions and modern American expectations.

While browsing through Norwalk Library with my sister and nephew, I found this book and flashbacks of 6th grade resurrected from my mind. "A Place in the Sun" was our classroom reading while we learned about Ancient Egypt. While I read this for fun in class, today I am reading to evaluate its usefulness with learning about Ancient Egypt.
