A bit surprised no one has commented on the characters being just so unlikeable, maybe it gets better? I know they are flawed from trauma etc. but I'm finding it hard to feel for them despite that. Also, I like and get the messaging but it's not subtle or nuanced, you are getting hit over the head with a hammer.

This may be the most upsetting thing I have ever read. I'm reading it because I should, we all should, but damn... Also not helping my current disgust with the human race, well, largely white people. I'm gonna need a hug after this.

I knew what this was about and knew it would be a rough read but man... I feel sick.
