Very interesting so far, the way in which the Goddess religions around the globe that existed for thousands of years were slowly undermined through complex assimilations and possibly the little known yielding of power by Goddess culture to the ways of the northern “invaders”to the Mediterranean Middle East and Central Asia. And there’s so much more detail to all of this!

This is just what I needed to read right now. Resonates deeply on multiple themes.

Words of thick honey, it is slow reading as I taste these thoughts and digest the wisdom and contemplate the effects. I’m quite desperate to talk to others who have read this book!

I am reading this so slowly as I find it thick like honey —with insights I need to savor before swallowing. I can’t believe the author wrote this in the 1970s—so ahead of her time, so thorough in her scope and research. I am in awe.

So far very interesting , and thick like honey with historical info about humans, religions, grand cultural and religious shifts. I’m reading it one spoonful at a time.
