It’s getting tedious and tiresome when most of the characters are quoting literature and poetry in regular conversation. Most people do not do this. It’s also becoming a little much when she mentions a word or thought or object in one scene and then it’s mentioned immediately in the next scene by different characters. It’s cool when it happens every once in a while. Repetitive when done in every chapter.

The author quoting his wife: “Compulsive social-media habits are a bad trade: your present moment in exchange for an endless series of someone else’s past moments.” 👏

“This is why we need the Bible. Our natural intuition can only give us a God like us.”

We’re on a roll with Beezus and Ramona. I was planning to take a break and do another read aloud before continuing the series, but the kids protested. Ramona and her shenanigans it is 😂

I love a little plot twist I didn’t see coming.

Yay! Library holds came in fast.

Gonna DNF. I’m 6 hours in and I still have almost 3 to go and I. Just. Don’t. Care.

This novella is giving me lots of giggles.

I’m really enjoying the banter and pettiness between Bree and Chip. But every time that dang dog comes on the page I want to call animal control on Bree’s behalf…

Sometimes when I’m picking my next book to read I’ll grab a few and read the first page or two of each. This one immediately had me on page one with “cozy murder cabin” 😂

So close to DNFing this…
