Although the story is interesting, Brennan as a strong and independent character is nothing but. She's annoying, petty and whiny brat. I don't know is this is caused by Welsh's poor writing as female / physically perfect protagonist or is Lucy Brennan in deed built to be this shallow and mentally weak woman.

No strong woman need to belittle and whine in her thoughts. She's better than that.
