and it had been so long since i stumbled on a book with a (probably) pointless and violent rape scene.

was not expecting this to include gender politics of uplifted spiders

enjoying this so far mainly for the premise. not invested at all in any of the characters, who are flat and uninteresting (except for the spiders; they're good)

I feel like I'm getting there...

i've fallen back in love with this.

and also i really want to get it off my 'currently reading' shelf

i hope rereads count towards the reading challenges!
