This is... eh. It really seems sometimes like the author is trying too hard. It's a bit cheesy and the book itself is kind of gimmicky--the font isn't black, it's dark brown, like dried blood. "Spooky."

Trying to at last finish this behemoth after having abandoned it for two years or so... let's hope I can finally do it.
