Up to 1850 now. Many pieces slated for 'Walden' have been completed & given as (quite well received) lectures. Now, HDT must find a way to revive his stalled writing career after the colossal failure of his 1849 book debut. Can he earn enough from surveying work to pay off his publishing debts? Or will Emerson come to the rescue of his one-time friend? I ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWERS BUT I'M STILL ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT
