Way more stuff has happened by this point in the story than I remembered. The action just continues driving forward faster and faster.

I've read this several times and it remains one of my favorite series of all time. The Jerusalem Man is one of my favorite anti-heroes and one of the first introductions I had to the character trope.

This book really hits its stride after about a hundred pages. I literally couldn't stop reading until I got to the next photo-insert. I read all of part two in one (super fast) stretch. It is stacking up, in my mind, to rival Hunger Games.

So far it is one of those odd books that is simultaneously a slow starter and a quick read... I seem to have no trouble putting it down, but a few hours later I pick it back up for another ten minutes (roughly two chapters).

So far, so good. It reads like a series of short stories more than an ongoing narrative, but that works for me at the moment.
