As an audio book with Spotify, it is easy to toggle between the narrative and then ask Spotify to play the song that chapter is discussing. Just finished the chapter on Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields, two of our favs. Learning about what the Beatles were experiencing when creating those songs - the whole process - makes the songs more meaningful.

Tender story. Interesting characters. Important subject matters.

Getting better in the second half.

As an audio book this fill the space to and from work. Lots of coffee nerd discussions. Enjoyable.

Started as a kindle and switched to the audio version. Very British in style and vocabulary which comes across more clearly (for me) with the audio version.

Very dialog-forward in the narrative. Story is slowly unfolding, like a Venetian gondola lazily returning its passengers to their home.

Cutesy. Huge difference from my last Horowitz murder mystery.

Loving it.

I’m not so much as interested in journaling but in the creative process: the process that spark the creativity and get the ideas flowing.

I’m having a difficult time with this story since I don’t completely like any of the characters. I’ll push through until it needs to be returned to the library.

Some of the recipes he’s describing - from his childhood or travels - can be inspiring. Others are too fantastic for me to authenticate.

Tucci narrates his story. Inspiring.
