After freeing Sohrab from Assef and a Bacha Bazi practice, Amir brings Sohrab to the US to adopt him. Sohrab happily goes with Amir and they all lived happily ever after. I am also ashamed of saying that.

Major Jamie Graham and a small group of fellow POW's are being held captive inside Hector, a MK.XXXIII Bolo tank reprogrammed by the mysterious !*!*!. Graham Has to figure out how the enemy reprogrammed Hector and access the "leak". But Hector is watching the group's every move, leaving Jamie to himself. looking for a weakness or a Glitch in Hector's systems.

Amir and Farid discover the Taliban have been buying children, both boys and girls for a practice commonly referred to outside of the book as, Bacha Bazi, which translates into "Dancing Boys." Amir arrives at one of the Taliban member's house with the intent of collecting Hassan's son.

Amir and his Afghan driver, Farid, go to fetch Hassan's son to hand him to an American charity. Just one problem, he's been taken by the Taliban. Judging Amir by his past actions, if Amir wants to redeem himself, he might just want to take some AK47 fire while Farid grabs Hassan's son and runs.

Amir has traveled to Afghanistan to find Hassan. Instead, Amir comes across Rahim Khan and recieves a message from Hassan. Rahim tells Amir of Hassan's murder at the hands of the Taliban. Amir falls into a depression and travels back to America.

Amir got some sports victories at 20 years old. Now he's applying for college... Whoopy.

Baba just assault and old helpless elderly couple who run a store after they asked him for ID before taking Baba's check, as required by Federal Law at the time. Amir actually does the right thing for once and tries to clear up the whole mess. Baba makes dinner and says nothing and Amir tries to act human to a man who just assaulted an elderly couple. And I still cannot stand these characters, I miss Hassan.

The Russian invasion is in it's 3rd year. Amir and Baba are conversing with various contacts and informants to try to flee Afghanistan. While this is happening, Amir reminisces about his long lost "Friend" Hassan, whom he framed for stealing the gold watch he got for his birthday. Just a few weeks after Amir watched Assef beat & rape Hassan.
