I haven't felt too great for a couple of days and not been reading. This will be DNF for me.

As tomorrow is the first Sunday in Lent, and the traditional gospel reading for the day is Jesus in the Wilderness, and accompanying this we have images in the Media of modern cities and towns in China, South Korea and northern Italy eerily empty die to Covid-19 with imposed of self-quarantine, I thought I would re-read Jim Crace's award-winning and Booker-nominated novel.

Last year was the 100th anniversary of the birth of Muriel Spark. Visiting the library last week, I noticed the Polygon collection of her 22 novels. I have decided to read them chronologically.
Initial impression, quirky and interesting.

Great read for an Easter Monday holiday in the sunshine

This is the first Richard Powers book I've read. I think some of the writing is fantastic. But struggling at this early stage to keep the different character stories in my head. It probably would profit from having longer periods to read.
