Ashfur questions Brokenstar about focusing on hunting to prepare for Leaf-bare instead of training for endless battles. They had just fought WindClan the past night with their surprise night attack. After the battle Brokenstar thanked him for his service and told Ashfur it was time for him to retire and to go live with the elders.

Shadowstar's Life

Chapter 1

The cats on pg 221 are referred to as warriors but in the beginning of this novella in the Allegiance’s they are referred to as Hunters. Sun Shadow died caused by the dog attack with Shadowstar.

Chapter 3

It figures it is Yellowfang who speaks to Leafpool since she’s been in this very same situation. Her advice is make sure Leafpool leaves the kits with cats that love them instead of with a cat that absolutely hates them, like she did.

Yellowfang tells Squirrelflight she will never have kits of her own.

Now you learn the true reason Pinestar decides to choose the life of a kittypet. He thought he made the right choice. I feel he should have stayed because the StarClan cat did say it would have to be him to teach Tigerkit. It was a very difficult choice and we all know how that worked out. Would have it turned out different if he had made the choice to stay. Killing the kit or leaving were not the only 2 choices.

Finished Spottedleaf's Heart, I thought since it was called Spottedleaf's Heart that it would be more about her with her full Medicine cat name instead of her apprenticeship. I thought it would have been more about her love for Firestar. I enjoyed reading about her apprenticeship and learning how she chose to be a medicine cat. Although I feel she only did it b/c she realized she fell in love with the wrong cat.

Pg 209 is where Goosefeather gives Bluepaw her prophecy about fire & water.

Briarlights death is the saddest for many reasons. One being that the elders are responsible for burial, the worst is it was her parents. It was also sad to see Rowanstar die along with all the other cats that have died. Jayfeather continously makes me laugh. Twigbranch & Violetshine feel rules don't apply to them. They both imagine things one way & they always turn out much differently. But that's life.

Finished book 4!! I'm very sad to see ShadowClan having all its troubles but it's also no surprise. It seems they have always had problems since book 1 Into the Wild. They didn't seem to have issues when they 1st came to be when Tallshadow led them as a group. The clan that had most trouble then was Skyclan. I am excited to see Twigpaw get her warrior name soon. I also am excited to see Tree fit in.

06/10/22-Finished book 3. I'm so happy for Violetpaw & Twigpaw that they turned out to be Sky Clan cats. I am also very pleased to see Sky Clan has been reunited. I wonder if both Violetpaw & Twigpaw become the Sky Clan medicine cats. I am sad to see Onestar possibly end the way he did. Now I wonder what next challenge lies ahead for all the clans.

Finished book 2. I am very happy that Alderpaw got his Warrior name & it was unexpected. I thought it was cute he thought it would have been the other 3 names on pg 332 chapter 21. I love his new name. I also see why the next box set is called Broken Code. It is very sad to see Shadowclan with all their struggles. It's also sad to see Windclan leader be so stubborn. I understand he is upset but to let sick cats die.

Finished The Apprentice's Quest. I an very sad to learn Sandstorm passed. I know she will still appear in Star Clan but I wanted to see her live longer. But I am glad she is with Firestar. I am also sad to see the siblings separated & feel like all the clans are not thinking what is best for the kits. They are not thinking what it would be like to be separated theirselves from their own siblings.

Finished book 5. I'm so glad all the cats are seeming to get along. But I'm still not sure how the clan ways came to be such as being called disloyal if you find yourself wanting to live with another group or fall in love with a cat from another group.

I now see most of the clans: Clear Sky for Sky Clan, Tall Shadow for Shadow Clan, Wind Runner most likely for Wind Clan & maybe Thunder for Thunder Clan, River Ripple for River Clan.

I also like how in the story it shows you how love can be blind or even infatuation can be blinding.

Finished book 3 The First Battle, There are alot of wisdom in this arc such as If there is plenty there is greed & if there is little you share. I can't fully remember this one & I tried to find the chapter where I think Gray Wing was walking in a dream with Stoneteller & she mentioned how being driven by fear or something...I think maybe passion. These things are very true.

Finished book 2, I like the bonus scenes at the end of each of these books in this arc.

It saddens me though with how Clear Sky has become. Reminds me very much of Tigerstar.

Finished 1st book, I wish I had a better understanding of why Clear Sky felt a need to make a group & why he felt it was weak to care for his blood family. I see a bit of Tigerstar in him. I also see how Thunderclan & windclan started to form.

On page 73. This is a very sweet book, love reading about the cat relationship. I sort of had a orange tabby before, it was my fiance's but I didn't get the pleasure of having him long, he passed about a year after he moved in with us. He was old so it wasn't a surprise, but Bob reminds me a little of Cougar in some ways, was very friendly like Bob and let me hold him for as long as I wanted.

Was on page 208, now on 281. I finally got to the part where Morris finds out that it is in fact Peter Saubers that has the contents of the trunk. I think it is terrible that Morris still does what he does to his friend. I am not certain all the way why he does it. I know he is angry but his friend did tell him but I guess all the pent up anger he had in store for him got taken out on him.

I have seen the movie, probably one of the more recent versions and so far the book moves right along with the movie from what I remember. It has been awhile since I have seen it but as I read it does come back to me.

I have to admit I am a little lost with this section becuase thus far all other stories connect, not sure yet how this one connects to the rest with the acception of maybe Water Claire.

Now on page 660 last page 599. Now I understand how the story fits with the rest. I like how Eiden adopts Water Claire and she becomes strong and works very hard at it. It shows how long it can take when you want something.
