Suddenly picking up the pace a lot

I want to adopt Ta-Nehisi Coates as a writing mentor pleasee. So many chills! And I can’t thank him enough for the increased value I feel, about my own pursuits as a writer. This is a book I can see revisiting whenever I need to remember how powerful words can be and how important writers truly are

Really enjoying this so far, and more than I expected to! Idk why, but i thought this was going to feel dense and clunky. Instead, it is very engaging and enjoyable. Also, there’s the sense that it’s restructuring my brain, as all the best nonfiction tend to do…Also, i wanna learn how to tan hide so badly now!
