Ha! Eira is even funnier and sassier in this one. We’re off to a great start.

Valentin you poor tortured soul. This girl is going to be the literal death of you!

The “sell your daughter to the vampire king to cover your debts trope”. I’m here for it 😂

I haven’t read Blood of the Fae but I should have read this before book three of Bloodwing because there a few aha moments…

We seem to have lost all sense of storytelling and decided the spice is the plot… not sure if I’ll continue.

This is good. Definite Snakes & Daggers series vibes. Minus the motorcycle club.

Argh! Another DNF. 200 odd pages in and nothing is happening. Minimal magic, minimal romance and some very confusing side plot about witch hysteria.

I’m done. It’s in an interesting premise but where’s the romance?! Aside from the odd comment from our devilish MMC there’s nothing burning here.

This new devilish character is quite fun. Thank goodness he arrived though I was getting a bit bored…

A grieving widow, a vampire professor and a small southern town. Let’s see where this goes

I do love a quest style Romantasy

Magical tattoos, a missing mentor, a quest and now a rugged handsome stranger. We’re off to a good start.

Still enjoying this but I wish the MMC had a better name than Jude. My brain wants to sing it every time…

Oh wow! I’m 3% in and I’ve already chuckled a lot. We’re off to a strong start!

Had to Google what a revenant was because we’ve squished some lore together here that I didn’t expect

This is perfect grumpy x sunshine and I am loving it 🥰

Hallmark movie vibes but the leading man is a vampire 😏

Same world as Bite but it’s a different friend, couple, stalker. Not exactly sure where we’re going yet…

Do we like Julian or not? There’s something odd going on but I haven’t figured it out yet…

Marcus Antonius. What a great name for a Gladiator vampire 😏

😭 😭 😭

😳

Elias is a bit of a dick. Good looking, but still a dick.

I’d forgotten how good this writing is and how bad Smyth has it for our girl Ary. 😍

Excellent! A recap of book one in the first chapter 👏🏻

I knew there was something I didn’t like about this character

Ah false alarm. Boo!

One bed but we’re sharing with the Kings brother…

Wait the hot vampire King is called Mordric. Oh no, that’s not a very hot vampire name. He’s getting renamed!

This is giving all the usual Romantasy vibes but with a hot vampire King and a couple or Pretty Woman moments.
