"My foot squelches into something wet. And squelchy. I don’t care for it."

😂😂😂

Yeah, I'm literally just here for the Ewoks.

*me snatching up the stories of my favorite little dudes and ignoring everything else*

Sakkara and the Bandit King sighting, YUSSSS!!!

"Doom time. Again. Second doom in one day," is going to enter my regular vocabulary!

Much of the Silmarillion is The Ring of the Nibelung coded, but Turin's story is PARTICULARLY so. 😂 I can feel Wager's shadow all over this!

“Remus....” Lucius is looking at me with reproach in his eyes. “You ain’t crying for me, are you?”

😭😭😭

"For a moment, I feel it again: that strength of resolve. I’m here to follow him—and to do it with him, this thing he wants to do, as much as he’ll let me."

"I see the future stretched before me like a finished story."

*we reading about all these people getting absolutely WIPED OUT like*

No matter how many times I read it, Chapter 26 always makes me emotional... <3

"If you're going to hello, I'm going with you," is still one of my favorite lines. :)

The campfire sceneeeeeee. 😍

"There is a strange exhilaration in being completely free from trying to win men's understanding."

Okay, Cleo getting smuggled into the city in a CARPET was an awesome reference. As was having her say "When in Rome." 😂

Also, the main boy's named Antony: well done. 😂

"I do not know if I am free--but I think I am beginning to be."

I cried TWICE in the space of one episode.

The sea beast scene always has me 😍😍😍

"All of us live only to die, so it seems to me that the greatest goal in life is that we die well. We are all moving towards the end. But the fortunate die twice. The second time is at the end of life, but before that, some die to self--putting their pride, their ideas, their desires on the altar and slaying them as an offering."

The end of part one (the dream/vision) made me cry.

I also had to pound the desk and muffle a scream.

This might be my new favorite scene.

Chapter 8 always has me 😭

*me reading the fight in the storm between Beowulf and Grendel as if I didn't write it like*

Unferth would have loved the world of modern podcasting.

Auschere! 🥹

*me reading about all these people doing dumb things*

Tolkien really should have given some deeper thought to this decision to call this particular hill TUNA.

Hey friends! It's been a while since I used Goodreads for anything other than keeping tracking of my TBR pile, but I wanted to share a happy update with My Original MVPS.
