I've enjoyed the first third of this book, but it's starting to fall off a little. It is at a point now where I'm not as invested in what happens next. I get that this is supposed to be a slow burn, but after all the excitement of Soledad and her ex, I'm not really sure I'm interested in what happens with Jonah.

It was rough, but I held on until the end.

I've decided not to finish this book. I'm not sure if it is the narrator of the audiobook or the author's writing, but this book has felt so tedious and boring. I hate that I feel that way because Robert Peace definitely seems like he was an interesting person, and his story is worthy of being told. I'm just going to have to follow up with some online articles because I can't bring myself to finish the book.

I'm a little over halfway through this book and I am still wondering where it's going. I'm tempted to skip ahead a few chapters.

I really wanted to like this book, but I think it moved a little too slowly for me. For the subject matter, I was expecting a little more. I didn't finish this book before it automatically returned to the library and I'm not sure I'll ever finish it.
