Oppimiseen kuuluu aina älyllinen rehellisyys, ja rehellisyys saattaa tuottaa joskus tuskaa.

...just finished chapter 8. Great book so far, pretty much continues from where the Price stopped.

So far so good. It picks up where The Prize stopped

Chapters 5 and 6 are very good. No ancient history, some modern history and lots of facts!

Some ancient history that I skmmed through. Interesting fact, Greeks use 21l oil/a, the inhabitants of Krista almost 50l/a.
Oilve trees play avrole in the Israel/Palestine crisis.

Less mythology in chapter 2. Getting interesting now, 2% of all olive oil is of excellent quality, 8% is good quality, the rest is flawed

In the beginning I must admit that the parts about real-life, olive oil tastings, de Carlo family, is very interesting. But mythology and olive oil, I just do not have the interest for

Chapter 16 breaks my heart.

Tyckte berättelsen kom igång först efter ca 200sidor. Relativt medryckande iaf

Most interesting point in this book so far is the Energy Break-point of 1973-1986, the time period when oil lost its market share in electricity generation to nuclear, coal and gas.

This book definitely has it's moments, I think the key message from part 1, i.e. circumstances play a huge role besides talent, is very valid. 10000hour rule sounds reasonable to me, however, adverse events creating winners would seem more rare to me
