I cannnotttttt

This it not a subtle moment, but the way she balances the flirtations with glimpses of actual developing feelings (and hidden feelings) is so good. You catch it the first time around but it is so much more to analyze when you know where things are going.

Azriel enters the chat for 5 seconds and I’m ready to riot if we don’t get a book about him…so much mystery

So many side characters I just don’t care about 😭

“Because,” he went on, his eyes locked with mine, “I didn’t want you to fight alone. Or die alone.”

“You’re free”
Not safe, not protected.
Free

“…images and memories, a pattern of thinking and feeling that was old, and clever, and sad, so endlessly sad and guilt-ridden, hopeless.”

😭

Say it with me now: “Lucian deserves the world!”

“…the face of a thousand nightmares and dreams.”

Rhys has a court of nightmares and a court of dreams. He straddles both. Technically neither are real (nightmares and dream) though. They are part of your mind and usually not to be trusted. So can Rhys ever be truly trusted?

Easy to forget Tamlin does have his morals and DID try. In his own way . . .

(You’ll always find me playing devils advocate when I can ruffle some feathers)

Nesta has been a real MVP from the start.

Finally…let’s get to the real action

So much more about Nesta than I remember... I literally must not have been paying any attention the first time I read this.

Freaking Rhysand.

I came back to be a hater, but fine…I’ll bite again.
