I see she's a Wharton grad. That's gotta be good.

So far Steel's book is engaging to read. I'm at the point where I hope she's going to transition from "history" into what's going on now but it's also great to have all that back story.

This seriously has to one of the most boring books I've ever attempted to read...

PKD's Alphane Moon is holding my attention even though I'm still not quite sure where it's headed.

Understood in its totality, the spectacle is both the outcome and the goal of the dominant mode of production. It is not something added to the real word - not a decorative element, so to speak. On the contrary, it is the very heart of society's real unreality.

What a slow and pointless book.

Gai Eaton's piece on the city was good. More thoughts later.
