It’s brief but thorough; it is slightly encyclopedic in nature yet fun to read; and it has mostly recipes that are easy to reproduce. This book is useful for those cocktail-enthusiasts-in-the-making like myself. I certainly hope to keep enjoying both the book and the cocktails made as I read on.

A lot of the stuff seems like common sense at first glance. But when you try some of the stuff for the first time, it seems like a new door has opened and something switches on (for example, it never occurred to me that macerating raw onions was the secret to really enjoying onions without dragon breath afterwards.)
