Oof. Listening for church book club and it’s a slog.

This book makes me cringe. Juniper’s new roommate is a man who tutored her when she was 17 and I can’t get over that. The age gap isn’t inappropriate in their lives now but it feels icky still.

This is one of my favorite books in the series, so when life feels too hard nothing makes me feel better than cracking this open. It’s like wearing my oldest, comfiest sweater. But for my brain.

My first DNF of the year. Sigh. Just wasn’t into it or the characters.

OMG! Possible spoiler alert but there’s some massive pet cruelty at the 70-ish percent mark that’s so bad I almost stopped reading for good. I had to skip many pages. I will continue because I want the pet-hurter dead, but I cannot take dead pets anymore.

Had to hit pause on this one because all the weird stuff in it didn’t mix well with cold medicine, leading to some disturbing dreams. But at the halfway point, it was pretty damn good.

Made it about 40% but Vera was less quirky to me and more obnoxious. Maybe I’ll come back to this some other time.

I’m not sure I’ve ever yelled at an audiobook as much as I have at this one. Wow is the narrator a dumb-dumb. Happy to be almost finished!

Ugh. Agatha! Just forget about stupid James! He’s a doofus.

I stopped listening to this book because it was flying by too fast and I have a drive to do on Friday that I need Jeff to narrate! This book is hilarious and sometimes poignant. I love it!

Switched to the audiobook which was the way to go. Finally making some progress. So many awful people!

I’m getting mad “horrible things await” vibes here. 🫣

The book is so much more interesting than the show!

I’m rereading this because I started four other books and they didn’t take in my bedtime brain. This is like comfy PJs.

Gonna DNF this one. I can’t stand the idea of spending more time with Flavia’s ridiculous cousin. Such a shame this series had to take such a nosedive 😭

What a slog.

I just really hate Flavia’s little cousin. It feels like “Family Ties” after the Keatons had a baby.

This is way better than I thought it would be. I have trouble putting it down!

Ugh. This had so much promise but it’s pretty dumb.

I can’t figure out if I like this or not. It’s ridiculous but i keep returning to it!

Ooh, this is good. I had to make the hard decision to finish it or get a decent amount of sleep and it was a hard choice.
