This is hypocritical New Age gobbledegook. Avoid at all costs.

Gut-wrenching. Add civil war to the sickening list of human atrocities. May we stay humble before the Lord

Faulkner is a total vibe, and I am loving it so far. Let's see how it goes.

Wow, it's as if nothing happens in this book. Just constant talk and worrying and trying to read between the lines. Sounds like my family, ha! That's the whole point, isn't it? To remind us of something in our own life.

Incredible book. Deep truths on prayer, faith, and abiding in Christ. Highly recommend for anybody who wants to go deeper in their relationship with God or who struggles with their prayer life.

Meriwether Lewis is so ready to get home at this point. I can't blame him!! I'm surprised at how much horse and dog they had to eat to survive.

Alicia is reading Malice Toward None
A short photo-history book of Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address. I'm wondering if students in the US memorize anything these days: poems, soliloquys, speeches. Seems like this address would be an excellent one to memorize.

This book is like a slow march through knee-high snow. It's arduous work. All characters (reader included) have a deep sense of foreboding. Plus can't keep track of all these characters with long Russian names. Other than that, a fine read.

I kept avoiding this book at the library, because I thought it was a Kevin Bacon movie from my teenagerhood. Actually it has nothing to do with Kevin Bacon. Does anybody remember his flick "Tremors"??

Alicia is on page 163 of 279 of The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference
Fascinating thought here. "Character is more like a bundle of habits and tendencies and interests, loosely bound together and dependent, at certain times, on circumstance and context. The reason that most of us seem to have a consistent character is that most of us are really good at controlling our environment".
