Ok, is this for real?! Is Keane for real. This has got to get better, right?! I’m giving this book 2-3 more chapters and if the dialogue doesn’t improve it’s going to be a DNF for me. I can feel myself losing brain cells while reading.

I’m really not liking Lexi at all. I find her to be annoying. And the way she handles this business with a “birthday party” for her brother that turns out to be a family dinner just bothers me. I wish Brad would put his foot down and tell her to make up her mind on what she wants.

And now Axel...I'm so angry at him! You claim to love Emme and yet your kissing another chick thinking how nice it feels! Then "logic" wins out and you push her away. Fuck that, that is not love for a person, not even close. I don't care if you "think" your relationship is on the rocks because Emme won't commit. I can't even with this book right now, I think I need to step away from it and maybe come back.

Emme has about one more chapter to turn her selfish ass attitude around before I DNF this book. She's clearly "with" Axel, yet lusting over the guy she lost her virginity to in high school. She had better redeem herself hard because at this point, I have zero respect for her as a person. If you know Axel wants more and you don't, move on bitch.

I am so annoyed that the author took a character that I loved in Lia and turned her into the outspoken, obnoxious friend in this book. Seriously, she's unrecognizable from the last book and it makes me sad. I loved her!

I don't know how much longer I'm going to keep reading. There is zero connection between Charlie and Nolan. I have no idea where their "attraction" comes from and quite honestly I don't even feel like she likes him AT ALL 🤔

Could Beth be a bigger hypocrite?! Seriously, to get pissed at Matt because he didn't come by or call for one day AFTER she had repeatedly turned him down and pushed him away.

Finding this somewhat annoyingly repetitive. Matt wants to back out, Beth convinces him it's fine, Beth has doubts, Matt convinces her it's fine. Throw in family "drama" and REPEAT for 173 pages.

Seriously contemplating a DNF for this book. The first chapter started out with potential, but the alley scene lost it for me. I'm not a huge fan of insta-love, but I don't even think this could be classified as insta-love. And Simon wasn't alpha, he was an ass. This book will have to do some major redemption in the next few chapters for me to actually finish.

I'm having a really, really hard time getting into this book because Zeke is SUCH an ass. I know that's the point of the book, but I don't see anyway for him to possibly redeem himself. The only reason I'm continuing to read is because of all of the good reviews. I hope it turns around because I LOVED the first book.

I feel like this book is taking FOREVER to develop. I usually read books in a day, but I've been trudging through this one for the past 3. In not sure why I can't get into it. It's just not holding my attention. This whole pre-date date rule is just beyond me.

I'm having a really hard time getting into this book. It seems like there's WAY too many storylines and POV being introduced. It's like the framework for the rest of the series is being crammed into the first quarter of this book instead of the intros occurring naturally. It just seems forced.

I'm really not feeling Daisy's character yet. She's coming across as an entitled brat, to be honest. I'm not sure if it's because the book is told strictly from her POV and the majority of the book so far has been her inner dialogue without much interaction with others. I'm really hoping she does something soon to change my opinion of her, otherwise this might be a DNF
