Story #1 down. Starting to live up to its title.

Almost finished with the first story “Dread,” and I have to say the main character Steve comes off as a real dumbass for a lot of it.

Fucking brilliant so far. Really enjoying learning more of the characters’ motivations and having them more fleshed out than what’s in the movies, particularly Gurney Halleck

It’s already a delight how well written and surprisingly not super dry this is

As an out and proud slow reader who ditches a lot of books, I am mentally preparing for reading this long ass book but also really excited to dive into it—I fell so hard in love with Dune: Part Two yesterday at the mall theater that I made a beeline to the same mall’s bookstore afterward and got the first book.
