Listening to the audio version and felt like I was electrocuted when I heard “and the Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri - it’s a smaller space I think it was a movie theater before?”

Am I just in a bad mood or are these cliches too much? The constant mention of how she’s a taller woman, working in a publishing job that pays her next to nothing but she loves it so… I also despise the constant British reminders, “Mam” is grating on me. Those little half sentences that are supposed to act as Leon’s thoughts but just make him sound like a 5 year old
