The mechanics of hate are well rounded in this book. The guy fixated his resentment on this girl, then women, all his life each time that his father humiliated him or his rival beat him. Without any logical causality, he made this association btw everything going wrong in his life and this woman. The fact that his main abuser drilled in him this revulsion towards her race didn't stop him from adopting it himself.

I dislike how this girl with a history of long abuse finally, aknowledges that a person is being rude to her, avoidant and dissmissive, but everyone is gaslighting her (even her horse) into believing it's nothing and she should '' work harder'' at understanding the person who' s being indifferent to her to the point of cruelty. I'm just at the beginning of the story, and if this goes on i won't like it.

Sexists clichés :prostitutes have easy lives. All other women are trumps and have fake breasts. You can dismiss any woman approaching your male friend as an annoying object. Bc she also, has fake breasts. The only real women with real feelings are her, and her sisters.

I know it's good, but i m having difficulties with the hard stuff (injustice and helplessness) and i'm impatient for the reckoning, and i m afraid of anxiety triggers. I m having reader's block lately ! It's become hard for me to read dark themes, more than usual and i'm sad because now i quit on good books like beasts of the frozen sea and maybe Rika and others.

crap ! It's rape_like shit again. I hate when writers make non consentual sex look ok, bc the guy is good looking. He is raping her, and the writer choses to comment on '' his too sexy face, ''. I wanted sexual tension, not non consent !

At page 3, and she already tries to kiss a total stranger, fears he'll haunt her dreams and speaks of affection ? She feels rejected and obsesses over the fact that he refuses to kiss her. What ?

Someone needs to tell Amilia why she is against Robin's affection for a demon. It's because she needs to villify the whole specie, itherwise she ll have to admit that her father and all the summmoners like him, are enslaving intelligent beings, not '' bestial killers''. The fact that she d lived with that, witnessing that blatent cruelty in her family home, since childhood, makes it vital for her to justify it.

Funny how i wished for the lord's and duque's demise to be impalement (vlad's style) and that now i reached the part where the duque dies in such a manner. I feel clairvoyant at the moment haha

Some parts are really hard to read. The physical abuse, the psychological humiliation and the sexual threat are so hard to get through.. The lord and the duque need to die impaled in a dracula style.
