So far this book is pretty sad but it's kept my interest so it's next to be finished!

So at first I was not really into this book much at all, but the more I've read the more I'm becoming obsessed! I'm really into this book right now and am having a hard time putting it down. I had started reading it before but always put it away. It's staying out this time(:

Marji finds herself in many different circumstances. For example, she marries then divorces Reza, and is kicked out of school for inappropriate behavior and then is able to study successfully in France. Through all this conflict she finally begins to find herself. From this novel I learned that to get divorced a woman has no right and the man must okay the divorce.

Marji continues to struggle with internal conflict. She realizes she needs to make changes in her life but is not quite sure how to make those changes. These changes include a new boyfriend, people whom she surrounds herself with, a new job, and a more socially acceptable appearance. Marji rebels against the government by having a relationship with a boy before marriage. The government has strict laws forbid this.

Marji continues to struggle with internal conflict, she feels that she does not know who she really is. She struggles with admitting that she is Iranian. She feels this way because Iranians are looked down upon. Proof of Marji's internal struggle is revealed when she begins to dress in more punk fashions.

I am currently reading Persepolis and I am on page 85. The first chapter if the novel is titled "The Veil". This chapter is about the conflict and demonstrations that the country is going through. The author not only tells you that this upsets her, as well as other females, by literally saying it. But she also expresses her opinion through the pictures in the novel. The conflict in this novel would be characterized a
