i’m honestly not enjoying this very much. why the fuck is this stupid professors name jacob octavian grimes as if he’s some mystical entity. like as a texan man why’s his middle name octavian. i just feel like his status as a highly esteemed magician is being shoved down my throat by his name alone. this is such a stupid detail to pick out but im just annoyed

here’s a passage i wrote down. “We are perfectly provided for. We are warmly wrapped in a rug; we are protected from wind and rain. We are alone. Now is the time of reckoning.”
there are many parts of this book i could’ve written down but something about this urged me most.
