wth am I reading

Why was this book written??? I think i might like it better if i was reading it instead of listening to it - could skip all the repetitive stuff. I really really really hope there's an explanation of how things got this way and everything doesn't stay all symbolic and over the top crazy but it probably will

reads more like an allegory than a story

Ummmmm...uhh....not sure why I can't get into this book. Too many characters? Too many uncompelling characters...and for all the effort to describe as little as possible and create some mystery, the plot is left feeling languid and frustrating in its obviousness; like the reader knows way more than the characters but in an annoying way.

Sigh. I've been debating between making myself continue reading this and moving on to more enjoyable things. It's a lovely book, in a way. In a lot of ways. Lines like a sweet warm drink, that make you want to take your time letting the sweetness slip down your tongue. But at the same time, you can only drink so much of such a drink, and you certainly don't want a second mug if you manage to drink the first.

This book is making me upset. It's so depressing. But I still need to know what happens :( I just want everyone to be happy and not extremely traumatized, ill, disfunctional...also if they're abt to do to my beloved Ralph what I think they're gonna do...I hate when Dark and Pain and Trauma etc is what's considered realistic and human in fiction (or in general), like GOODNESS IS HUMAN TOO AND HAPPINESS PLZ gimme some

Mmmmmmmmmmm. So I really love this book. Or, I really loved it? I loved when Maia and Beshelar and Cala and Csevet were doing that lil thing where Maia surprised them w his kindness and earnesty and made them fall in love w him and made them his friends...for the last hundred or so pages they have NOT been friends and my interest hasnt exactly dwindled but my enjoyment has a lil

So far, I don't want to reach the end because I'm just enjoying living life with Maia. Just want him to be okay in the end :)
