Enjoyed this story as I do many from that golden age of sci-fi. This story as many the time contains numerous metaphors. Is the cytha God or an example of evolution and it's possibilities. Maybe it's just mother nature.

I'm not a great reader but this book keeps me interested. It tends to jump about somewhat but characters seem to be developing, even though this is the second book in the series.

An easy read. Characters are somewhat lacking but overall follows on well from first in the series.
Of all the characters Archiestown and Flora have some this to relate unlike Val and whasisname.

I like the reference to ancient history and the fact of being human not superman.
I still find the stereotypes difficult at times but actually that is again a historical reference to Heinleinns times. Thankfully we have moved on and become more self aware, as the characters in the story have. And continue to do.

I enjoyed the first part and found it suprisingly optimistic. I suppose that given the time in history (post war years and the USA ).
Some food for thought for the conspiracists among us. Sexism seemed offensive at times.
