This book has been surprising and nice, but I’m not into all these speeches that have appeared in every scene. Everyone is like hey, I have a lesson for you and if anyone else is there, they’re like hey, me too. And repeat.

It’s making me so annoyed that he started calling her sweetheart. They aren’t even a couple.

I know books in this genre do this. But so much repetition—“…she felt Ethan’s hand at the small of her back, a sure, steady weight, and she wanted to lean against it.” Versions of this repeated so many times after so much about why she didn’t like him and had been through so much. Why is she so into this now? Again, I think I’m just not into this genre anymore.
