Very interesting book about taking control of your life-making your own decisions and not letting what's expected control you-being free and happy-not feeling chained.

The followers of Runs in Light have struggled through cold and hunger, but have found Heron and the hot springs. Although Runs in Light has proved that he is a Dreamer, his friends have returned to their cold camp in the North.

The Mammoth camp is divided: some go north, with Runs in Light-now, some call him "Wolf Dreamer", and others follow the medicine man,
Crow Caller.

The book begins at the digging of the pipeline in Alaska, Ancient bones are discovered. Then the story moves to the dawn of history where a dreamer discovers that the Indians should cross the Berring land bridge and follow the animals, the mammoth, to the warmth.

The former army veteran has quit his love (the army) and is now working a job on wall street-that he hates. As he tries to solve the murder of a former girl friend, he finds that he is being framed.

Raised by an addict in a trailer park, Bayea, 19, becomes homeless after her mother's death by overdose. Her father takes her in, but she has to fly from Kentucky to his home in Texas. There she is met by her estranged, wealthy father. She has to tell him of her life of poverty, which was due to her mother using the child-support for her addiction.

The poor girl is back from Vietnam after 2 tours. She is spat on, called horrible names, and her work experience is NOT recognized!!!!

She signed up to be with her brother in
Vietnam, but then found out that her brother had been killed. She at first worked in Neurology, but then became an OR nurse. She was transfer into a dangerous zone, with black-outs and close bombings.

A 31 hour audiobook read by the author. It spans three generations of a family in India. I have 21 days. It seems really interesting!!!!!!!!!!

I like Elin Hildebrand because she can put the person right into the regression period. She knows the lyrics to the old songs and seems to research the time period well.

The audio is narrated by Meryl Streep!!!!
