Almost finished, and honestly a little disappointed. The book is considered a Young Adult fiction, and the writing style matches. I've found myself self-righteously snorting at some of the excerpts, as if I could actually write a book myself and have any write to critique the writing.

I have enjoyed the story, but the characters don't really flesh out at all. They're your standard rag-tag gang of teens.

I have to admit that I partially struggled to comprehend some of the writing, so I went back and re-read some passages and chapters, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I'm glad I was finally able to read such a popular classic!

I have forced myself to re-read pages and chapters to make sure that I clearly understand what Jane is trying to portray, and so far I am loving the story and the writing style. Such a great look into the past; to think I'm reading from the mind of someone who was on this earth so long ago!
