Higginbotham is no Robert Caro but his research seemed to have had a lot of very human touch, and he does a great job building dread and humanizing the victims of the Challenger disaster.

Not sure I'm gonna make it very far in this one! But it's cute so far.

Enjoying this and learning a lot. It's full of hot takes that sometimes go over my head.

Just on essay 1, but had no idea that Roberto Clemente was such a groundbreaker. I don't really care about baseball, but now I want to watch the full 1971 world series and also find footage of RC walking out to "Jesus Christ Superstar".

This is very very good & sobering but i can't believe I'm only 30% done; I can only assume the notes & acknowledgements sections at the end of the book are long (I'm e-booking).

Apparently everyone has read this book, which came out in 2005, and I had never heard of it until I heard it referenced on a podcast a couple days ago. It's very well written & quite a story.

Enjoying this. Bond of course objectifies women, which is a downside. Otherwise it's a fun spy caper w/ lots of technical details so I've learned some things about alpine skiing and baccarat.

Listening to this in the brief periods when my podcast cup runs dry. Thoughtful and John Green-y.
