Very well written. A three for me just because it very heavily focuses on the war and includes some violence against women that impacted the way I feel about it. I rate according to feelings. could very easily be a five for others. The writing is very good. The setting and time and place I found very interesting. I am not very familiar with the history of Ethiopia or who Italy colonized.

3.75 stars. I warmed up to the characters as it progressed. It felt a little like a clumsy attempt to do a Gilmore Girls meets Longmire or something. It wasn’t as funny to me as many in the reviews felt it was. They grew on me though.
