Marie is on page 50 of 288 of Text Me When You Get Home: The Evolution and Triumph of Modern Female Friendship
Love the concept - that female friendships are as meaningful as romantic relationships - but rubbed slightly the wrong way by the author's seeming assertion that this is a new concept. Um, have you read any of the letters/diaries of women throughout history? Women have ALWAYS had close, deep relationships. It's not called a sisterhood for nothing.

When we gaze at the richness of the gospel and the church and find them dull and uninteresting, it's actually we who have been hollowed out. We have lost our capacity to see wonders where true wonders lie.

Love the construct, but I'm honestly not sure how I'm going to get through this one. I can't read it while eating and I have a feeling it's not something I should read right before bed, which ... doesn't leave a lot of options.
