Soooo I'm probably not really gonna be using Good Reads much anymore... You can find me here: https://app.thestorygraph.com/profile.... I'll finish out what I have Currently Reading on here, and then I won't do any further updates.

Kind of wondering if I want to continue with this book. Whilst it is interesting, I feel like there is less in it about Donald Trump and more about Mary's father, Trump's brother. And whilst that is fine, I feel like that's not really what this book is SUPPOSED to be about, and not what I signed on to read. I don't know. I guess I'll continue for now...

This has nothing to do with the content of the book itself but can I just remark that this is one of the most satisfying book I've ever smelled? The paper just smells fantastic. Because yes, I am one of those book lovers who has to smell every book they get their hands on. It's such a nostalgic smell to boot.

[So now I imagine, among these Angels and their drained white brides, momentous grunts and sweating, damp furry encounters; or, better, ignominious failures, cocks like three-week-old carrots, anguished fumblings upon flesh cold and unresponding as uncooked fish.]

Here's Offred throwing more shade at the men with all the power and the poor girls who are forced to be with them.

[But you aren't expected to love him. You'll find that out soon enough. Just do your duty in silence. When in doubt, when flat on your back, you can look at the ceiling. Who knows what you may see, up there? Funeral wreaths and angels, constellations of dust, stellar or otherwise, the puzzles left by spiders. There's always something to occupy the inquiring mind.]

How sex with men felt to me before I realised shit.

"Better never means better for everyone. It always means worse, for some."

Well if that doesn't apply to 2020.

I lied when I said I was gonna read this October 1st, I can't wait that long lol. Call me captivated but in the first page I was hooked and I have no idea why my high school self didn't really appreciate this book.

I have...a lot of mixed feelings about this book so far that I will have to leave for my Actual Review, but coming up on the "home stretch", I'm finding myself...actually really enjoying part three? Much better than the first two parts? Hmm.
