Going into this one with skepticism - I got my fill of dystopian stories years ago and have stayed away since. But I’m a fan of Mia Sheridan, so we shall see…

I am feeling like this whole story is going to be contrived. So far, everything about this story feels forced.

I’m tapping out. This was touted “for fans of Robyn Carr and Virgin River” but it’s not working for me.

Chapter three and I’m already tearing up. 😢

This book is SO good, but also SO hard to read. Really glad I’m not traveling across the US in a covered wagon...

I’ve read that the hero is completely redeemed in this story, but I’m finding it hard to believe at this point. He’s a total and complete ASS. And I can’t even imagine what would make what he did understandable and how he could possible earn forgiveness.

I guess we shall see...

I’m really nervous about this one...the first book in the series was great, but the second was a bit of a dud for me. However, both of those books started out slow, and so far this one has my interest piqued right away. Fingers crossed it stays good!

GAH!!! I’m seriously considering calling into work this morning so I can finish this book...

Really enjoying this so far. The characters are compelling and the plot is unique. And I LOVE that they despise each other, and act like it. Well, I don't like that they despise each other, but usually we get this whole "I hate him, but he's so hawt he makes all my girly parts tingle" malarky and there's NONE OF THAT thank goodness!!!

I’m tapping out on this one. Too much slapstick, forced humor for me. When I keep picking up my phone to scroll through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, it’s time to move on.

This author just may not be for me.

My New Year’s resolution? To start reading some of the 100+ books that have been on my Kindle for AGES...

I have about five other books I should read before this one, but I’m just too excited about this one to wait!!!

OMG - I was SO in need of a fun, hilarious book, and this one is totally satisfying that need!!!

AND...I’m tapping out at 25%. The over-the-top ridiculousness isn’t something I’m in the mood for, and I doubt I ever will be. Will come back with more words later...

I’m going in. I’m excited, but also nervous, as I always am when I’ve been anticipating a book for SO LONG and SO MUCH!

I love how Jamie Beck can clearly be setting up the stories for further books in a series, but does so in a seamless and unobtrusive way. I already can't wait to read the other books in this series, and I haven't even gotten to half-way in THIS book!

Was a little nervous about this one. Book one of this series was surprisingly well-written and cute, but book two was not. Wasn’t sure which way this one was going to go. I’m relieved that the story so far is cute and enjoyable to read. Hooray!

Not sure if I'm gonna make it through this one. I LOVED Leanne Davis's Sisters series, but this one so far has been blah.

This book is actually not bad! No repeating how hawt the hero is, no repetitive internal monologues...color me surprised! There was a scene with the heroine's ex-fiancee that was ridiculous and immature (these are people who are almost 40), but otherwise, I'm enjoying this book. Yippee!
