Do I like this?

How slowly can I read this book? I’m parsing it out so it lasts

2 1/2, rounded up only because I wanted to finish it. Cheesy, a little boring, less than interesting characters, sappy writing.

Ugh. This is psychological horror. I thought it was a thriller. Booooo!

When the manager of a care home is murdered and one of the elderly residents goes missing, the police have three suspects. Patience: fired from the care home and friends with Edith, the missing woman. Cleo: Edith’s daughter, who recently had an argument over payment for her mother. Frankie: seen at the care home near the time of the murder but doesn’t know anyone there. Add in a missing child from years ago and stir.

Okay. Back on track. There's a revolutionary librarian at 20%. Power to the people, stick it to the man!

Near dystopia is really really hard to read right now...

From NY Times book review: “ There are three affairs, three comas, three divorces, one separation, an exploration of gender identity, a brain tumor, in vitro fertilization, the end of a career and the threat of bankruptcy. There are other health issues, relationship problems and characters reckoning with past traumas, including a miscarriage and a rape.” When is the funny part? Did not finish.

Not my favorite. Pretty depressing and the “dark humor” didn’t seem funny, just dreary. Compared to Eleanor Olyphant, which I also didn’t love.

I loved Daisy Jones and I like Evelyn Hugo a lot. Am I going to like anyone in this? I feel like I’ve committed, but I just don’t like them…

One of my recent faves. Readalikes for Daisy Jones or The Music Shop. A coming of age story full of music and hippies and Baltimore.

Good night, this book is long.

I’m more than halfway in and so far, this book is about a girl painting. I don’t mean I don’t like it. But.

I'm no prude, but is there going to be any romance here or just sex?

What a weird book. Weird characters and nothing happens.

I already adore this book.
