You know, “you need to shut the f*ck up” is not the kind of pillow talk I enjoy in a romance novel. Just sayin’

This is so poorly formatted (for the kindle app) that it’s actually difficult to read. Dialogue from multiple speakers in a single paragraph without dialogue tags. Random hyphens in the middle of lines.

There’s an entire scene of back shaving. That’s not a euphemism. She’s shaving his back…

And also, she’s worked there a year and a half and can’t afford an apartment

I’m on page 13. The blurb didn’t mention he’s her boss, and in these 13 pages of infodump he’s mentioned that no one will sexually harass her at his place of business because he’s pissed a circle around her and she doesn’t take days off because he doesn’t provide her with sick leave. Why am I reading this???

Am I the only one who hates the way this book is structured? So dull. So, so dull...

This is the first YA book I've ever read that has made me feel far too old for YA.

Why do the heroines in these stories never have family or friends? I understand suspension of disbelief, but on what planet would a person who has had their purse, laptop and car stolen instead of going to the police and calling the bank instead decide to take a job waiting tables in a country bar? Add common sense to the list of things missing...

Uuuuugh I hate books that have the heroine listening to the hero have sex with another woman

Please tell me this picks up? I am boooooored...

There is on page sex with OW. I want my five bucks back.

How can authors write stuff like this and expect us to root for this hero or this relationship?

Aaaaaand here’s where I concuss myself with the eye rolling...

Picking this back up after a long hiatus...

Anyone else read this? I'm about a third of the way though, thanks to some nasty insomnia, is it worth finishing? Does the h ever get likeable?

God, it’s nothing but bunny porn.

This is not a story about the h and H. It’s about the h and her pet rabbit. That bunny has seen more action than anyone else...

In case someone else grabbed this book too, because it’s free, let me save you from my fate - this is definitely not a standalone. Every couple of pages a new person wanders in with no explanation as if the reader should already know exactly who they are and how they fit in with the other characters.

I just don’t see any way of redeeming this hero and I’m not sure how much more I’m willing to invest in the story...

Is Goodreads editing our reviews? One of mine now starts with " ** spoiler alert **', which I'm fairly certain I didn't put there since the only spoiler in that review is that the book sucked...

I really should have listened to all of those one-star ratings...

I think my tolerance for ‘quirky’ female leads has been reached and there is still 2/3 of the book to go...
