Finished Hell, taking a break before the next section (Purgatory). Rather over my head - I mean, people spend their whole lives studying this work - but the momentum keeps me going and I mostly get the gist. Some blistering imagery.

I've got to admit, the story-telling aspects seem to have been replaced with a long list of political party mergers and Prime Minister-listings, which is about as interesting as the "begat" section in Genesis. Hope this gets back to its initial readability soon.

That's a grim start...

Started at last! Aim: finish this in 2020, and remember at least some of it. Pace required to hit goal: about 50 pages per month, so need to finish up to chapter 7 by end Feb (101 pages). Very good so far - very interesting and readable!
