I don't think Andrew Mayne knows about decomposition. This girl has been missing 2 years, Theo finds her buried in a shallow grave, and she still has her eyes, skin, and intestines?!? After 2 years?!

Omg why are they listing every single stupid thing she bought at the store??? And I'm pretty sure cilantro was on there twice, each time mentioning who wouldn't eat it. Please tell me this gets better...

This book is so difficult to read. I'm finding myself stopping so many times, crying at what these women are going through. Because while this is fiction, there is truth there.

Ok I'm about to lose my mind! How do people think shit like this is ok? 2 white people say "this Black guy has our property" and the cops just BELIEVE THEM?! This is why we say Black Lives Matter. THIS!!

I seriously threw the book down. I knew that is what the judge would say because saying otherwise is not an accurate portrayal of how these cases go. But I still held out hope, that maybe THIS fictional boy would get the justice he rightfully deserves. But no, if none of the other boys/men got it, he's not going to get it either.

Rhea is the worst! Anyone who tells their child "this man is a bad man and he's got his eyes on you" because they didn't like something innocent that guy did to them is a garbage human.

In this life, her dead dad is alive. He literally says "Hi Nora, how are you?" And I become a crying mess on my couch. I miss my own dad so much. What I wouldn't give to have him call me and chat. I don't know how she's going to leave this life. I wouldn't.

Ok I'm struggling because this is a self-published work. If I wanted to read her personal journal, I definitely would change my mind. Can someone please edit a copy of this, send it back to her, and ask her to republish?

Seriously reading this book while pregnant shouldn't be hard. But when they start talking about the death of a baby and having to go to an abortion clinic, it's making me sob!!

I can usually stand the gore in these novels but this one is making me gag.

Ugh. Was the author in a rush to get this book published? Amy took off a dress but had changed into leggings and a shirt not 6 pages before. She also new about the fiancé before the wedding was even mentioned to her. Ugh. Details, people, DETAILS!!

Seriously at the prologue and the explanation for how Malcolm is alive has me thinking this won't be as good as Jurassic Park. "Slightly dead" and surgeons who work "wonders" explains how someone who was dead is now alive. Grant even said they weren't allowed to bury Malcolm, indicating his body was lying around decomposing!! Sounds like this book was written because the movie was so popular.

A cockney girl, taught how to speak proper English by an English gentleman, reciting "the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain," paraded about in fancy dresses, named Elizabeth Little....I'm sorry, Stephen Hunter, but you just put Eliza Doolittle into your Jack the Ripper story and you completely ruined it for me.

I can't put this book down. If I ever have a transgender child, I hope I'm as supportive and protective of my child as Kelly is.

I literally can't finish this book right now. I'm marking my place and reshelving it. I'm sure when I decide to try again, I won't even need to read the first 167 pages again, nor will I want to.

Oh how this book is dragging. The reviews of it are not encouraging, either.

Ahh! This book is already scaring me from going to Nevada!
