Going from a horrible reading slump that cost me to start this book to *spoilers* sobbing over a character death is just the perfect encapsulation of this novel. What a rollercoaster!

Wow wow wow WOW. What a book. One of the best dystopian fiction books I've read in a while and I think moreso because this was more realistic in the sense that there was no happy ending and the problems weren't solved but it highlighted the actual problem of how we run our "corrections" facilities just perfectly.
