Wow what an imagination! What if we could put aside our differences and fight to save our world. This book was hopeful and sweet and also very “sciency” and technical, but it still managed to fascinate and enthrall. Bravo

Excellent book. Not too many of the books that I read are this absorbing.
I really like the way Kate Quinn told us about each character in the story. I didn't guess the ending, good twist! I've read Kate Quinn before, her books are always good, but this is her best one yet.

Weird book. I still don’t understand the end. Parts of it were interesting but fir the most part it was depressing

I found this book to a bit slow paced. I think combining real history with fiction is tricky. Since I knew how the actual historical incident concluded, the end of the book was never really in question and so, the book was somewhat anticlimactic. The deep dive into different characters thoughts and actions was interesting and introspective

Lianne Moriarty never disappoints. Her books are always thought provoking and I remember her plot lines with psychological implications that are fascinating. This book is humorous and human.

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book. As the book progressed though, I found myself being drawn in. The plight of James and his metamorphosis from a slave mentality to a righteous man fighting societal evils and his discovery of his own identity was the true journey in this book.

Couldn’t recommend this book. I thought it was interesting but not riveting by any stretch of the imagination. Frankly a bit boring. Surprised this won a Pulitzer

Great insights. I learned a lot about Ronald Reagan. O’Reilly/Dugard provide a well researched book with lots of anecdotes, humor and insight
