Easily a 3 star for most of the book. Definitely see the inspo from Hunger Games and Red Queen. Sometimes too much inspo it does feel like a copy and paste. However, I felt the characters were much richer than that of Hunger Games. Quickly became a four star read.

It’s been good so far but it’s only now that it’s gotten so good that I can’t put it down👀👀

This is already so much fun! Very Sherlock Holmes. Love it.

Sigh. Had potential. Unfortunately it felt like the author was more concerned checking boxes than telling a story.

Much more interesting than the last book. Love the alternative POVS and timelines. Just enough creep to feel a small haunting tone. Lots going on in terms of lore. It they fit really well together!

Contemplating a DNF. Live the setting and tone of the book but we’ve gone a whole lot of nowhere for being 25% in so far. Not even sure what our objective is at this point for plot

Love it so far! It feels like a story wrapped up in anthologies. I like having the short stories come together in “present time”

Loved for the tension between our love interests…the rest of the book felt like a middle grade in terms of world building, character arch, and conclusion. Very innocent and less thought through for details.
Plan on reading book two when released, though!

Absolutely everything you could want in a cozy fall mystery so far✨

Serious disappointment. Not having the best luck with main characters. This one is either the biased complaints of the narrator, the hypocrisy of the actions she makes that are the very same ones she complains about, or the seriously misplaced anger and hatred for any and everyone. Blah. Havent even got close to figuring out the murder. This book is everywhere.

IMO, it rivals Achilles by Madeline Miller so far.

Finally finished after what, 2 months? Didn't see that ending coming. I know I enjoyed it but I'm not sure I was blown away like I thought I would be. These are some fucked up characters guys. lol
