Abia am inceput-o, si sunt deja complet fascinata si indragostita de cartea asta! Si cum sa nu fii:

Nu stiu daca eu gasesc exact cartile care mi se potrivesc in perioada asta, sau ele pe mine...

Citesc cartea asta cu Mark impreuna, si mi se pare minunata, extraordinara, ma face mereu sa imi gasesc timp sa o citim :) si imi vine sa vorbesc numai despre ea!
E totusi putin trist sa vezi cum treaba domnilor cenusii a devenit din ce in ce mai usoara in era digitala ...

Misto. Se citeste mai incetuc, dar e perfecta pentru mine - nu ma absoarbe in totalitate intr-un univers paralel :)
Are un singur defect - ma face sa ma simt inculta :P sau cel putin ne-citita.

This book is equally fascinating and depressing.

It opens your eyes to the contradictions in your current beliefs and values, and to just how thinly they are covered by natural (or rather, biological) reasons. That is, if you allow your eyes to be opened.

The only rather positive thing that I've read so far, is this idea that "biology enables, culture forbids" - when talking about cultural taboos / hierarchies.

I've barely just started the book and I already find it fantastic, thought-altering. Can't believe I'll be disappointed by the following chapters...

Quite an enjoyable book, without being the type that you cannot put down (which is good, since I have t feed my family every now and then).
Makes me really want to visit Heidelberg :)

Greu merge, greu de tot. Desi cand o citesc, cartea imi place, dupa ce o pun jos, nu-mi vine sa ma mai apuc de ea :)

Sloooow progress ...

Not a page turner. I had a tough time reading through the first 2-3 chapters (too many histories and too much history, maybe. Although I am interested in Pakistan's & the region's history, it was delivered in a mingled way, hard to follow for me.)
Now, on chapter 7, it picks up a little and is becoming interesting.

Really enjoying this light-hearted book...
