This is nerdgasmic, I am seriously enjoying this.

Uh wow, this bit where Hazel says she doesn't like V for Vendetta because it's not that good, because it's a boy movie and she doesn't know why boys want her to like boy movies... Wow, that is a goddamn disappointing and bullshit thing I just read, whether it's fictional or not. I guess I'm not much of a girl if that's the type of movie I like? Christ god almighty, I hope that paragraph redeems itself later. Ugh.

Considering everything I know about acting I only know from watching DVD special features and very good movies, it's safe to say I'm starting from scratch. But all these concepts make sense to me, including how the author assures the reader that good acting is not just "lying," but rather believing & committing to your words & actions. My only complaint so far is I wish it went into more detail about everything.

I chose this paperback specifically as my own introduction to Captain America because I had no idea where to start, and I thought a sampling of different kinds of stories from different writers and artists would help me figure out what kind of Cap stories I prefer. It's done just that - now I know I only want to read the more serious Cap stories and bypass the comedy. I just love drama, I guess.

This is a bit of a slog for someone only barely aware of Marvel lore, I gotta, say. :\
